This was one of the things, albeit small and probably considered nonsensical to some, that made me appreciate the Soul Calibur series so much cause each game, everyone got a fresh new look and even changes to their physical appearance to represent age or just a new 'look' altogether.
Everything up to Tekken 4, most characters got new costumes or got some pretty dope ass upgrades to their returning outfits (like Kazuya's updated look) or new threads altogether (King w/hair, Jin's hoodie/open chested gi, etc.) but I feel like after T4, Namco got a bit lazy and everyone pretty much has gotten locked into in 'default' look, with us having to rely on customization or their alternate look for any sort of new variety
